Neil Kirwan
Sowa Soma was founded by Neil and Fiona, a husband and wife team who have been working with medicinal plants for over a decade, in Europe and Costa Rica. In 2021, they relocated to Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast to deepen their connection with Ayahuasca and to offer ceremonial work in its verdant jungle.
During Neil’s time in the medicine world, he has sat in many circles both indigenous and non indigenous to the Amazon. He has come to know and learn from lineages within the Shipibo-Konibo and Huni Kuin tribes. As part of his continuation to learn with plants, Neil has carried out a number of master plant dietas including Noya Rao, Mugwort, White Sage, Chuchuwasi, Rose, Dandelion, Bobinsana, Passionflower, Cacao and Cannabis.
Neil follows the path of Noya Rao and is currently dieting Noya Rao under the Mahua Shipibo Konibo lineage. The plant dietas are an anchor for the work they do and support them and their space in many ways.
Neil offers pre and post ceremonial support, integration coaching, 121 and small group ayahuasca ceremonies, retreats, group social dietas and private isolation diets in his home in Costa Rica.
